Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
The Ice Queen's army made its advances under the cover of night and by morning the Queen had frozen the Apple Tree Blossoms' tears. And try with all her might, the valiant Mother Spring could not defeat the Ice Queen. Mother Spring's Oak, Pine, Birch, and Maple Warriors put up a heroic fight, but were ultimately rendered defenseless, their boughs hung low, shackled by the Queen they clanked in the breeze.
But Mother Spring is patient and she knows that the Ice Queen's spell will wear off, so she waits...
