DayStar of the Month for December 2011 ~ Boo Parman

Wow, it sure is hard to believe that 2011 is on its way out. What a great way to end to end the year by “crowning” Boo Parman as the DayStar of the Month for Decemeber! Boo has been coming to DSR as a park member, daycare regular, and boarding guest since 2006. His smiling face is always a wonderful thing to see on the Dog-Gone-Waggin’! He is a happy boy who loves to play with just about anyone, but who also enjoys his lounging around time. Boo will never turn down a back scratch or belly rub! He always seems to try those sad puppy dog eyes in the bath tub and grooming salon, but the girls know that it doesn’t work. Thank you to Boo (and his brother, Barkley) for being such a wonderful part of Dog Star Ranch over the years. Congrats to Boo for being the Dog Star Ranch DayStar of the Month for December 2011!

Fairwell to a dear, dear friend...

It is with a very, very heavy heart that we say fairwell to one of our favorite girls and life long friends. Phoebe is a wonderful soul and will be so sadly missed by all of us at Dog Star Ranch. We are so thankful that we had the opportunty to know and love you.

So what really does happen in DSR Doggie Daycare??

Well, Jen came back to let me know that my very best pal called today to check on me and see what I really do in Doggie Daycare. Who better to share that with her than me, Buddy Franks! So this is special just for you :) This morning I was met by my Star Buddy James who greeted me (and all the other DogStars) with a smile! Can you believe that there are 29 of us here today?! That's wonderful! Once we are all checked in for the day, out the parks we go! In the summer, a lot of times we'll visit Cody's Cove for a swim, but it was just a little too chilly for that today (even though it was a beautiful sunny day for the start of December!) so off we go to the Star Buddy Park. That park is huge and has a jungle gym for us to play on and around! Today on my run I was joined by Finnegan, Copper, Buddy E, Bode, Ligety, Kacy, Rosie, Pookie, Bandit and some boarding dogs too! We had so much fun! James kept a close eye on us while we played for that hour, but we always mind our manners. The play time doesn't stop there, even after our run, we are able to spend time with our buds, just in smaller groups. Today, Star Buddy Nick and Patt were working on re-painting some of the rooms so most of our playtime was outside today which was perfect! Towards the end of the day, some dogs will head over to the Grooming Salon to "freshen up" before their parents come to pick them up. Star Buddy Hunter was with us for the afternoon and he made sure that we were all ready to head home when our parents come to collect us.

I had a great day! Thank you for checking up on me and I can't wait to tell you all about it when I get home! Dog Star definitely gave me somethin' to bark about today!
