Shirts "Proof"

These are the proofs for the shirts we are designing for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk that DSR is doing. They will be a darker pink than this. They will be available for walkers but we will also be selling them as a fundraiser towards the walk! Be looking for them within the next week!

Fun in the sun...

Why is it important to rotate your dogs diet?

You wouldn't want to eat the same thing every day for the rest of your life!! It's very natural and much healthier to rotate your dogs diet! Check out the information below (click on the images to make each page bigger and easier to read) about diet rotation. ALSO look into adding some raw food to your dog's diet. Raw is natural and the way that dogs were made to eat in the wild. Feeding raw food provides nutrients and enzymes that processed food can't. Check out naturesvariety.com/getraw for a buy one, get one free coupon to get started! Samples are also available. Just ask!

Coat Maintenance & Parasite Preventative Program

To help you keep an eye on your dog's coat/skin condition during these warm/humid months (flaky dry skin, undercoat or excess hair) and to do routine checks for fleas and ticks, DSR has a discount program to help out!
*
We already offer the 10% Standing Appointment discount to dogs who use the DSR grooming salon. This discount program offers dogs who are groomed/bathed every 6 weeks a 10% discount (Sirius Star Members get an additional 10% off).
*
We would like to add another benefit to the grooming programs! In between your 6 week appointments (3 weeks after your prior grooming service) you can have a bath done for 50% off! By doing these baths frequently it will help keep an eye on how your dog's skin and coat are doing through the summer and make sure they don't run into any issues with fleas or ticks.
*
If you have any questions regarding these discounts or grooming, please let us know! Call today to have a grooming/ bath add to your dog's next daycare day!

Today was a great day, definitely on the hot side, but terrific overall! We had lots of our regular guests along with some new non-local friends! Thanx for spending the day with us at the Ranch!
Today we had a couple dogs that are searching for some families to call their own. Mickey is the newest member of the DSR My Way Home program. View more on him at the blog posted previously. We also have two super cute puppies that are fostered by a client looking to find their forever homes.

Meet My Way Home MICKEY!

Mickey is our newest addition to the DSR My Way Home Program. Mickey is under 2 years old, male neutered, shepherd mix. Mickey was in a foster home through Pound Buddies for about a year and we thought he would be a good one to bring on to the Ranch. He is great with his manners and socialization. Let us know if you want to know more about Mr. Mickey!

A Rainy Thursday...

We never let a little rain slow us down!

How do our Daycare dogs cool off after a long run???

Do you ever wonder what your doggies do when they aren't out and about? Well we asked our daycare friends and this is what they said:

"During the morning we are roaming. Where ever the smells might take us. After our travels are done. We come back to the Ranch to sit, nap, and maybe some play. After our naps and rest its off again for some more fun in the sun. The fun never ends!"

Boy oh boy it must be hard to be a dog!

New at DSR!

Mendota Slip Leads ~ They aren't exactly "new" to DSR. The Star Buddies at DSR have always used these when dogs that are in our care, but now we have a variety of colors and thicknesses (3/8 in. and 1/2 in.) available for retail to you! Find out more about these products at www.mendotaproducts.com.

It's wet & dirty dogs for the holiday weekend!

"You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is patriotism." ~Erma Bombeck
