This is a fall family picture of Bode, Ligety, Riley, Benji, Marley Bob, and Jake (along with their humans). The Month of August Report Card(s)

August 2010
Our Loving Humans;
For the month of August we have hit record highs in daycare attendance, temps and how many of us go in the pond at the same time. The August report cards are being transcribed by the DSR August daycare dogs. WE ALL DID GREAT!!! Really!
The heat hasn’t been that big of a problem to us because we dogs get to see much more of the cool arena, Pup Paradise and Luxury Loft with the comfortable couches and bright orange floor. Its cooler in these areas something about an A and a C that they have running, wow! That sure feels amazing.
At the start of the morning, we go out to a community yard with all of our friends to prepare for the day ahead of us. As it gets later in the day, around 9:30am, the Star Buddy takes a group of us out to the park. It is always a contest on who can make the most noise in hopes that will be the reason the star buddy picks our group to go on the first run. During the run we get to go play in the big sand hill and all over the agility equipment. If we are allowed to, we get to go to the pond and take a nice refreshing swim. When we head back in from the park, we make our way inside for a break and a cool down. This is when we get to relax on the couches and walk around on the bright orange floor. We are usually inside for an hour or two, then its back outside where we are able to play super hard and run around in our community yard.
Next is where we still haven’t found out the Star Buddy’s tricks. We see some dogs going inside, and then those same dogs come back outside. Our star buddy then will bring a different group of dogs inside. This process repeats for a couple hours and we can never figure out which of us are getting to go inside next. Those of us who are members get to go on an additional run to the nature trails, which I may add, is amazing. The trainer works with a couple of us dogs on our manners so that we become smart geniuses. While this is going on, some of us lucky ones get to go to the grooming room and get all sparkly clean, then we are looking real good. Those of us who don’t get to go to the grooming room get a blow out, but we still have some of that fun dirt on us.
By this time our day is just about over and we go outside for that last time and come inside to wait for you to pick us up. Our listening skills for that English language are getting quite well. The star buddies carry around radios around with them and when we here our name on that radio, we can’t contain our excitement to see our wonderful owners in the front lobby. When we are up front in that lobby, we get a goodbye treat, but we always try to get more than one, but it hardly ever works.
As much as we love to come to DSR and play in daycare we love to go home with our fabulous humans. We live in the moment!!!
DSR August daycare dogs
(We have our Star Buddies too busy taking care of us to do individual report cards so we wanted to help and write our own report card for the month of August! J)
PS. If you are having any questions or would like your dog to become a member so they can take the afternoon nature trail walk, or needed help with your dogs manners or training please feel free to email us at or call us at the Wag-on-inn (231)766-0444
P.S.S. It looks like the Star Buddies are finally getting caught up for the hustle and bustle of September, but you can look forward to October individual report cards to be coming out soon.

Don't forget to Walk Your Dog!!!

Make sure to walk your dog each and every day and promote others to do the same! Along with good nutrition, exercise is an important part of canine health care. Without proper exercise, many dogs will become overweight & experience numerous health care problems (heart issues, joint problems). Exercise is often overlooked but is critical in keeping a dog fit & trim. Every dog (little dogs included!) needs to have an exercise regimen as part of a total canine health care program.
